Value of your PLR package
When you sell a PLR package, or anything for that matter, you need to make sure that the customer walks away with a feeling that he got more for his money than what he paid for it. Buyers remorse is so common in our world that the last thing you want is for people to be returning your product because they don’t feel like they got their money’s worth. Well, in order to keep this from happening you have to create in the buyer’s mind that you are giving them a lot more that what they are paying for. There are several ways to do this
The first, and most common way to do this is to give the buyer a lot of extras. Maybe you’re selling your package on Internet marketing. One thing you could do is maybe offer a couple of extra books. Maybe one of them could be on sales copy, since writing good sales copy is important to being able to sell anything. You could also maybe include a book on affiliate marketing. The more extras you give them, the greater the value of your package.
Another thing you can do, and this is a little more difficult, is to get people to give you testimonials for your package. When other people recommend something, this usually gives the buyer an added bit of assurance that what he is getting has real value. Now, if you can actually get some of the big names in marketing to give you a testimonial, that would really be a feather in your cap. This isn’t always easy to do, as many of these big names are very busy people. But if you approach them the right way, which includes sending them your product to look over and a very professional letter (remember the article on JVs?) there is no reason why you can’t get at least a couple of testimonials. Each one you get provides more value for your product.
And then of course, there is the actual appearance of the product itself. Did you ever notice whenever you go to a sales page to buy something that there is always this really nice photo of a real hard cover book? Now, we all know that these aren’t really hard cover books and all that is, is just a photo. But that photo gives the buyer the impression that what they are buying is real and not just some electrons floating in cyberspace waiting to become bits and bytes on their hard drive. This is why all the most successful sales pages have ebook cover graphics. This also, believe it or not, adds value to your package.
By doing the above things alone, you can substantially add to the value of your PLR package, thus making it more attractive for people to buy and to sell for you. Remember, sometimes it’s not so much what the actual product is, though you don’t want to put out junk, but what people perceive the product to be. Extras, testimonials and nice ebook covers only add to that perception.
How to create a PLR Package
In this post, we’re going to walk through putting together a PLR package. As this is only an example, we’re not actually going to write the content but just go through the steps of what would be necessary. Once you’ve actually written the content, the actual steps for putting the PLR package are really quite simple.
Step 1 – Come up with an idea. This is probably the hardest of all the steps. So many people just can’t think of ideas. But remember my article on how to come up with ideas for your business? Well, go back to it and read it again. Sit down with a pen and paper and think about your interests. Research each one and see which ones have a demand on the Internet. You can see this by going to Wordtracker and doing a search for that keyword. You’ll then see how many monthly searches there are. Then of course you want to go to the search engines to see what competition you have. In the case of PLR, I don’t worry too much about the competition part as I will simply rely on good advertising to get the word of my PLR out.
Step 2. Okay, you’ve come up with your idea. For argument’s sake, let’s say you decided to write an ebook series on Internet marketing. There will be about 4 or 5 books in the series. Each one will contain a few methods of Internet advertising. Maybe each book will be about 20 to 30 pages. You decide that a good price point for each individual book is $7 and the 5 books would sell combined for $27.
Step 3. You write your content and put the books together. You then create a sales page for the books.
Step 4. After you have the whole product put together for sale, you then work on what I call the PLR part of the process. You have to sit down and right out each individual right that you are going to include with this package. The reason for that is because if you don’t specify things, people are going to do whatever they want with the package. So in addition to the actual content books, you will need to put together a book that I call my “How To Sell This Package” book. In it, you’ll give some tips for how to promote the package, including setting up the sales page, advertising and so on. You’ll also include the actual rights that they have in the package, just like I showed you in a previous article.
For the purpose of this package, we’re going to give people these rights.

Now, notice the last one, Can sell Private Label Rights? You better stipulate in your package that the person can only sell Private Label Rights with the same rights that they received. Meaning, they can’t give the package away, offer as bonus, etc.
Step 5. After you have done all that, the only thing left to do is get your site up on the Internet and start promoting.
A good solid PLR package will probably take about 1 month to put together. If you put a solid package together and sell limited rights to X number of people, you can probably sell each package for a nice chunk of change. In this example, I’ve decided that I’m only selling 50 of these for $197 each. That’s a total profit of $9850. Even if you sold the package for $97 each, that’s still a nice chunk of change. If you put just one of these packages together a month, this is a yearly income of about $60,000.
Like I said, Private Label Rights are extremely powerful and can make you a lot of money, if you have a good imagination and you’re willing to work very hard to put something like this together.

How to Find Revise and Improve PLR Content for Your Autoresponders?
If you thought web marketers were generating all the content/articles you saw on their website, you could not be further from the truth. If you are not familiar with the hype, here it is – PLR articles are the lifeblood of many websites.
This brings us to the next question. If webmasters were buying their content and it is duplicate, how do they fare so well in search engines such as Google. After all these search engines are quite unforgiving to duplicate content and are getting smarter by the day.
Obviously some tactics are being used to fool search engines. If you have fresh PLR content, it is yours to change and use as you require. You really do not have to make complex and detailed changes to make your articles unique. Change the look of the end product so that it is as different from the original content as possible. Try to enhance the content rather than take away from it.
1) Use Synonyms – Use words that are similar in meaning to the original. One good place could be an online dictionary or thesaurus. Word’s synonym finder is good as well. After highlighting the word, press shift-f7. Choose the best word from the list of alternative words.
2) Utilize Matter Changing Software – Software is available that changes the form of your articles. It uses the synonym method. If using software, you are only a few clicks away from fresh content.
3) Introduction and Conclusion – Write a fresh introduction and conclusion. Articles that carry relevant interesting introductions generate 2-3 times the hits of other articles.
4) Shuffle Your Content – This is as easy as cut and paste in MS Word.
5) Get to The Point – Trim the fat from the article. Get to the point. Remove the useless matter from the article. Summarize paragraphs. Break down sentences into smaller sentences. Get to the heart of the matter quickly.
6) Rewriting – When you read your PLR articles, you can use the article as the spine for your rewritten article. As you rewrite, inject fresh thought and perspective into the article.
7) Altering the Tone – PLR articles contain someone else’s voice. As a result, the tone of the article is quite different from your personality. Change the article. Begin with a change in the Title. A powerful title is a great way to pull in those readers. Adapt the body of the article to suit your style of expression. If the article is too cut and dried intersperse it with humor. Turn technical terms into layman’s language.

Resale Rights – Private Label Articles
This is the article that I’ve been waiting to get to for a long time; Private Label Rights. People just don’t realize the power of creating, or even buying a Private Label Rights package. Most PLR packages give you the right to do just about anything you like. Almost all of them, unless they are just articles packages, come with a sales page and all the extra stuff that you could possibly want. PLR packages are a virtual gold mine if you know what to do with them.
As I stated in my introductory article on rights, Private Label Rights, for the most part, are rights to a package where you can change the contents of the package, sell it for whatever you like, add other items to the package and so on.
Now, a lot of people think that what’s the point of buying a PLR package? If you’re going to go through all the work of taking the package and modifying it so much, why not just create your own product? Well, you certainly can do that if you think you can come up with something that will sell. But there a couple of reasons why buying a PLR package may be something that you’ll want to do.
1. Some people just can’t think of ideas. Let’s face it, not everybody has a creative nature. Plus, they may think of an idea but not know how to create content for it. Now, if they saw a PLR package being sold for the idea that you were thinking of putting together, well, the work has already been done for you. If you buy the PLR package, at the very least, you can read what’s in the package and get ideas from that. Maybe you don’t completely like what’s in the package. Fine. You now have the right to change whatever you don’t like. This goes for the sales page as well as the content.
2. Even if you can think of ideas, buying an established PLR package saves a lot of time. Think of all the hours you would spend creating the content and then putting together a sales page. With a PLR package that you purchased, all that time can be spent on promotional activities. And even if you do decide that you want to change a few things around, you’re still going to spend a lot less time doing that than creating a product from scratch.
Okay, so are we in agreement that maybe in some cases buying a PLR package is a good thing to do? I hope so.
But what about creating your own PLR package from scratch? Well, this is where the real power of these packages comes in. See, with a PLR package that you bought, let’s face it, many people out there probably have the same package. So the value of it, over time is going to diminish quickly. This is not to say that it won’t also happen with your own PLR package, but the difference is, when it’s yours and brand new, NOBODY else has it. So at the very beginning, you can sell these packages for an awful lot of money. Today, it isn’t unheard of for these packages to go for $97, $197, $297 or even $497 or more. The price of many of these packages is outrageous. And, if you want to make the package even more desirable, simply sell a limited number of them.
The things that you can do with your own PLR package are virtually limitless. The only limitation is your imagination. Just go on the Internet and look at all the PLR packages that are out there. There’s a reason that there are so many. They sell. Especially packages of articles. Why? Because content is so important to web pages. Without content, the Internet would virtually fade away and die.
So if you are thinking maybe that you don’t need or want to create your own PLR package or even buy somebody else’s, you might want to reconsider your position. PLR packages are some of the hottest sellers in the IM community. That’s where an awful lot of money is being made.

Rewrite Private Label Articles Optimized for LSI
Just like many of the marketers around, I have many PLR or Public Domain articles hiding in my hard disk. We know that we need to rewrite them to make it uniquely our own, so we can submit articles to directories or publish on our site. What is difficult is to come up with something unique enough to avoid being penalized by the search engines.
You might have tried simple tricks like swapping out verbs, nouns and adjectives with synonyms and rearranging paragraphs. You might have even invested in one of the many article spinners on the market and find you’re still basically spinning nothing more than your wheels.
However, till date, nothing yet has been developed that can compete with the human brain. Compounding the issues around the quality of spinners and content writers is that they all focus on individual words and sentences and how they appear to a human reader.
In order to compete in SERPS effectively, you need to understand how your entire document appears to the search engines in terms of it’s overall context. This process is partially based on the concept of Latent Semantic Analysis or LSA, in which higher keyword densities are actually penalized during the indexing process.
However, this same process allows your content to rank well even for keywords you’ve not used, because it’s relevance is again, based on overall context.
You will have to rewrite those Private Label Articles so that they are Optimized for LSI. There is this new software – Content Mania, which is a PLR Content text processing application. Resale Rights – Master Resale Resale Rights
Moving on to Master Resale Rights, or what are commonly referred to as MRR, this is where things get a little murky as far as exactly what you can do with these rights. Everybody has their own idea of what MRR is and unless each right is specifically pointed out when you buy or sell the package, people are likely to get confused. So the first thing we need to do is define each right that comes with a resale rights package that isn’t a simple resale rights package.
Most people, when they offer a resale rights package where they are giving you rights, other than to just resell the package, will usually spell out each right in the package with a little chart. Please understand that not everybody does this and the rights you get will vary from package to package. This is why this is such a gray area that confuses a lot of people. So the best way to illustrate this is with an example.
Here’s a PLR package that was offered recently for a bible collection.
These were the rights.
[Yes] Includes Sales Page.
[Yes] Can be given away.
[Yes] Can be packaged.
[Yes] Can be offered as a bonus.
[Yes] Can Be Edited Completely and Your Name Put on it.

Now, this list is by no means all inclusive of all the rights that can be given to a particular package. However, for the purpose of Master Resale Rights, let’s point out what you can’t do as far as the above list with MRR.
See that line that says Can Sell Private Label Rights? That you will NEVER see with an MRR package. The reason is because one of the primary things about an MRR package is that you can’t change the content. They may give you the right to sell it, add things to it, repackage it with other items and even give other people MRR rights, but if you change even just one word in the product, given it’s some kind of ebook or article, you will be in violation of the rights. This is the one big difference between MRR and PLR.
The good thing about MRR packages is that you really don’t have to do too much. Usually you’ll get a sales page to go along with it. In most MRR packages, you’re not allowed to change that sales page but must put it up exactly as it is. Then, when you make a sale, you simply pass that sales page along to the person who you sold it to and this goes on and on.
The bad thing about MRR packages is that because you really can’t change them, over time, the number of these same sales pages begins to flood the Internet. Eventually, the market gets pretty saturated, though true saturation never really occurs because of new people coming in all the time. Still, it gets harder to sell these MRR packages as time goes on. That’s why so many new ones keep coming out all the time.
Truth is, Master Resale Rights are just a small step up from basic resale rights. Sure, you can change the price, which you can’t do with basic rights, but there’s not a whole lot of difference when you come down to it. It isn’t until we get to Private Label Rights, which will be the next article in this series, where we really get to rights that are truly flexible and very powerful.

Resale Rights – Basic Rights
Now that we’ve had our little introduction to resale rights, we’re going to get into the specifics of each kind of resale rights. We’ll start off with just simple resale rights where the only thing you can do with the product is resell it. You can’t change it in any way and you can’t give other people rights to sell it.
How to profit from Basic Resale Rights
Signed up with Clickbank and received your hoplink, you can then go out and promote the book. Since you have only simple resell rights, all you can do is sell the book. You can’t offer people any rights to sell the book themselves. They have to do that through the vendor or through the vendor’s affiliate program. You also can’t modify the book in any manner shape or form. Plus, you can’t sell the book for any more or less than the listed sale price. You also can’t tell customers that they can do anything they like with the book.
While you’re thinking that this kind of puts everybody in the same boat who promotes a simple resale rights product, it doesn’t. Why? Because there is something that you can do to set yourself apart from anybody else who sells the same product.
While you can’t make any changes at all to the product you are selling or give away any rights along with it, there is something you can do. Somewhere on that dusty old hard drive of yours there has to be something that you own rights to. Maybe it’s your own product. Maybe it’s a product you bought that gives you the right to sell it or give it away. If so, this is what you do and it’s what I do. It makes a big difference in sales.
Offer bonuses.
Tell people in your ads that if they purchase the product you’re promoting, as a bonus, you’ll send them your book on, whatever. Just tell them to send you their receipt. Trust me, this is a great way to make some extra sales.
Simple resale rights may have a lot of restrictions tied to them. That doesn’t mean you can’t turn a resale rights product into a profitable venture for yourself.
